Youth from the 13 southernmost counties in Illinois bring their best projects and livestock to show at the fairgrounds located by the school. There are many events to check out, some geared toward kids and some toward adults, but all toward fun.
Popular at the fair is the annual farm toy show, which brings toy enthusiasts from throughout the Midwest to buy, sell, trade and just plain enjoy the collections and displays. There will be farm and construction toys, along with trucks, cars, crafts and much more. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the show. Admission and parking are free, although donations will be accepted. The show will be held in the air-conditioned exhibit hall at the fairgrounds.
Always popular is the Tractor & Farm machinery show, where you can see the tractors, implements, engines, horse-drawn tools and more. Free admission, however donations are accepted. Raffles and other games.
