Celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Galena, Illinois!
Get ready to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in style at the 9th Annual Shamrock Shimmy Race and St. Patrick's Day Parade, hosted by the Galena Elks and Galena ARC!
The festivities kick off with the Kids Mini Shimmy Dash at 11am, where youngsters can participate in a fun run without registration. Simply show up and join in the excitement! At 11:15am, the Shamrock Shimmy 5K run begins, offering participants the chance to challenge themselves and embrace the spirit of the holiday.
Later, at 2pm, the highly anticipated St. Patrick's Day Parade takes over Main Street, featuring an impressive 30 floats. The parade line-up starts at 1:30pm by the Downtown Galena Post Office.
Don't forget to wear your green and bring your shamrocks as you join in the revelry and celebrate the luck of the Irish!
